Arcade Fire

Appeared in these episodes:

One of the most creative and innovative bands to emerge in the last decade, the Arcade Fire bring power and melodrama to their richly-layered anthems. Quirky yet emotional, the Montreal ensemble’s experimental indie rock can be challenging, but has proven accessible to an ever-growing audience. Husband and wife Win Butler and Régine Chassagne formed the band in 2003, issuing their debut Funeral in 2004. Festival appearances featuring tunes like “Wake Up” and “Rebellion (Lies)” earned the band a mountain of critical buzz and a fanbase that includes David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, and U2. Three years later the groundswell has erupted, as the group’s second album Neon Bible entered the Billboard album chart at #2. The strength of “Intervention,” “Keep the Car Running” and other songs gained the band a second appearance at the ACL Music Festival and, finally, its first in studio 6A.
