Ben Harper

When Ben Harper had his first solo performance on Austin City Limits in season 29, he was already on his way to stardom. On the strength of acclaimed, gold-selling albums like Fight For Your Mind and Burn to Shine and popularity on the touring circuit with his band the Innocent Criminals, the singer/songwriter/slide guitarist was a college radio favorite in the U.S. and an arena-filling star in Europe. His soulful blend of blues, folk, rock, reggae and R&B made friends of a wide spectrum of music fans.

Since his appearance with The Innocent Criminals, he’s collaborated with the Blind Boys of Alabama on the Grammy-winning There Will Be a Light and issued further acclaimed records. Now Harper has a new backup band, Relentless7, and a new record entitled White Lies For Dark Times on the horizon.
