ACL producer Terry Lickona has long carried a wishlist of desired performers in his figurative pocket, so when he’s able to cross a name off the list, it’s a cause for celebration. We’re very excited to announce the debut appearance on our stage of Dave Matthews Band.  While this is not the first visit by the group’s namesake – Matthews graced our stage once before as part of an Emmylou Harris-curated songwriters special in Season 25 – it will be the first time for DMB in its entirety. The bestselling Virginia-based band and its South African-born singer/songwriter have been major forces in the rock world since Under the Table and Dreaming, a groundbreaking work that mingled the worlds of jam band and pop star, arrived in the mid-90s. In the midst of sweeping changes in the music industry, the multiple Grammy-winning DMB continues to find huge success – Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King, the combo’s latest release and first since the death of founding member LeRoi Moore, is their fifth consecutive number one album.
