Kenny Chesney

Over fifteen years into his career, country superstar Kenny Chesney hardly needs any introduction.  The Knoxville native has parlayed his average-guy/beach bum persona into a long line of hit singles (including 16 number ones), multi-platinum albums, sell-out arena tours and a staggering number of ACM and CMA awards.

Chesney became a musician during college, getting a guitar for Christmas and teaching himself to play. After playing regularly for tips and selling 1000 copies of his self-released demo album, Chesney moved to Nashville, working the bar circuit and signing a publishing deal with the legendary Acuff-Rose. His debut album In My Wildest Dreams sold 100,000 copies on a label that shuttered its country division almost immediately after its release. After signing to country music powerhouse BNA, Chesney hit the top 10 with “Fall in Love” and “All I Need to Know,” beginning a run of hit singles (“She’s Got It All,” “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy,” “”You Had Me at Hello,” “The Good Stuff”) that shows no signs of diminishing. Armed with four Entertainer of the Year awards, multi-platinum album sales and a new collection Greatest Hits, Vol. 2, Chesney now adds to his list of accomplishments by taking the stage of Austin City Limits.
